Signature Properties offers family run, professional, service-orientated property management.  We are a refreshing alternative to old school agencies with their hidden fees and poor, impersonal service. We have been in the residential sales and rental market in North County San Diego for over 20 years and have first hand local knowledge and experience of all kinds of property related issues. Most importantly, we own rental properties, so we are familiar with the many issues facing our owners first hand. 

Our knowledge and experience means that you, the owner, are assured the very best service at all times leading to hassle free, enjoyable income property ownership.  We choose to represent a small, local portfolio of properties including houses and condos.  We are constantly striving to provide the best personal service to our owners. We also have established relationships with all the necessary contractors and specialists needed to help maintain our various properties at their best. The highlights of our rental program are:

  • Advertise and promote your place to find desirable tenants.  This includes but is not limited to MLS , websites, signage, broker word of mouth at realtor caravans etc.

  • We show the property to pre-screened applicants only in a two hour window once per week so as not to inconvenience you if you are residing in the property.

  • Once the correct applicant is found we perform a thorough background check criminal history check, credit history including fico scores and check to see if they have previous evictions.

  • If they check out and you approve of the potential party we put  together the lease and deliver it to you for your signature.

  • Upon move in we provide a cashiers check for the first month and deposit. Prior to move in, tenants are set up to pay you directly through electronic auto withdrawal from their bank account.

  • Any problems with the property - we will be the point of contact  for the tenant, examine what is wrong, discuss it with you and take appropriate action.  Whether it be a plumber, handyman, etc. we have some good contacts for getting work done well at a good  price.  We can also work with your preferred vendors.

  • We handle the walk through upon possession - documenting the condition of the property to compare at move out so we do not have squabbles about damage deposits etc.
